Verdant Productions’ ‘Virtual Verse’ comes to VR Headset.

In trying to expand the popularity of Poetry among young adults (16 – 18 years), we’ve been working with leading Arts & Entertainment company - Verdant Productions - to create a performance 360 video that captures readings of 10 of the poems featured on the Irish school-leavers English Literature curriculum.

Filmed with the support of the Arts Council, each reading was performed (against a dramatic 360 video wall backdrop and set) by leading Actors, Musicians and Poets, including Camille O’Sullivan, Rebecca Grimes, Thommas Kane Byrne, Jafaris and Billy Ramsell.

The completed videos will then form the centre-piece of a school’s roadshow, with Verdant providing 40 Oculus Headsets for Learners to enjoy the performances, before a poet will discuss their nature and content.
